Peanut Butter Cups

My sister came home Saturday and we got together yesterday and had a dinner with extended family celebrating that she was home. It was a long scary two weeks with her gone! I made a pasta salad and peanut butter cups for desseret! I should have taken pictures along the way and forgot... But I have pictures of them finished!!

Peanut Butter Cups

1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. powdered sugar
1 3/4 c. crushed graham crackers
2 c. milk chocolate chips

Melt butter and peanut butter together. Stir in powdered sugar and then graham crackers. Press firmly into 9 x 13 pan. Melt chocolate chips and spread on top. Chill until firm. Remove from fridge and bring to room temp. Cut into 1 inch squares. (If still cold, chocolate will crack)

I hadn't used this recipe before, but now they are definatly on the make again list! Enjoy!

What I ended up deciding to do for Grandparent's Day...

I decided what I am going to do! I am going to make cream cheese filled snickerdoodles for all of Baby B's grandparents and great-grandparents. (Recipe found here) On top of them I am going to put a card and this little tag I made copying the one here. Trying to get his fingerprints was a little crazy so they are kinda crooked and all different sizes. :) He sure thought it was fun though!

Then I decided to make a little scrapbook book with a picture and fingerprint each year. Each year I will make a new page to add to their book. I was posting this so readers could see before tomorrow so I haven't got his fingerprint on it yet...

I didn't want to leave out last year so I added a picture and made it the cover. I won't have a fingerprint of last year but at least the book will have each year...

Then I am going to punch a hole in the top left corner and put them all on the ring.

Not anything huge but I think they will like it. I think it will be fun to look back at his fingerprints each year.

Grandparent's Day

I didn't even realize Grandparent's Day was just days away.... I have been busy planning a bridal shower that was last night... (post on that to come :) ) So now I am working on Grandparent's Day. These are some of the cute ideas I'm debating between.

I think I am going to do something with fingerprints that I can add a fingerprint each year so they can see how Baby B grows... Then the cute tags I think I may put on a treat of some sort. I will post what I decided to do once it is done. Pinterest has tons of cute Grandparent Day ideas.

The wall is finished!

Man this project was a project and a half! It took far longer than I thought it would but I am excited now that it is done. It was time consuming but only took two days working here and there. With a busy little boy, I didn't work on it while he was awake. He would have been lots of help but decided to wait til he was sleeping... :)So after two nights and a little bit in the day- its all finished! It added a lot to the room.

I traced the pattern on the wall first with a pencil. Then I painted inside the pencil lines.

Tips I learned a long the way:
-I was worried about the imperfections standing out and not looking perfect where I just painted over traced lines. In the end you really don't even notice so don't let that stop you! :)
-Trace the pencil lines as lightly as you can so you don't see them through the paint.
-I used a foam paint brush because I felt like I could get it to cover more evenly. Any brush is fine but I like the foam brush the best.

I used the stencil template from here. I loved that I was able to print it out, trace it on cardboard and get going. I also loved that this project cost me nothing!! Even better. I will post another picture later as I get the decor put back up. I'm repainting the mirror right now because I don't like the color on top of the stenciled wall... Anyways, soon I will have it all finished!

Have a great day!!
